At the University of Duisburg-Essen, Business Information Systems falls within a large faculty that also teaches Business Administration and Computer Science. This enables our Bachelor students to learn – first-hand – basic computer science and economics competences from the representatives of each discipline. This gives them a sound qualification, which they can expand with the in-depth studies in the last two semesters by including core competencies in Business Information Systems. Bachelor students can choose whether they want to deepen their knowledge about the modelling and implementation of business information systems, e-entrepreneurship, and IT management or whether they want to deepen their knowledge about the technology and security of business communication systems.
