Journal article on Foundations of Multi-Level Modeling
The paper "Multi-level modeling: cornerstones of a rationale - Comparative evaluation, integration with programming languages, and dissemination strategies." has been published in the journal "Software and Systems Modeling". In this paper, Ulrich Frank presents a comprehensive analysis of this new modeling paradigm. Using the meta-language FMMLx developed in his research group, he shows how an integration of modeling and programming languages enables new application architectures that promise a high degree of reuse and adaptability. At the same time, they allow even those users to make changes to complex software systems who are not familiar with programming languages.
