Excellent evaluation results for the course “Organizational Behavior (Blended-Learning)” in the winter semester 2020/2021

We are happy to announce the excellent feedback we received on the “Organizational Behavior” (“OB”) course held in the 2020/2021 winter semester.

The participating students were Bachelor degree students studying Information Systems, Applied Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, and for the State-certified Teacher Training Course with the professional profile Information Systems.

Organizational Behavior (OB) is an interdisciplinary research field that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and an [organizational] structure have on behavior within organizations in order to apply this knowledge to improve an organization’s effectiveness.

The course comprised three main parts: self-paced learning (using e-learning modules), just-in-time teaching (in a classroom), and tutorial sessions.

Prof. Frederik Ahlemann presented the just-in-time lecture, while Anna Khodijah, M.Sc. was in charge of the tutorial sessions. In addition to the lecture and tutorial, practitioners shared their knowledge and real-case experience related to the course content in a guest lecture session.

The course evaluation indicated that students were very satisfied with the course, rating it 1.54 (on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the best possible rating). In particular, the guest lecture and the teaching method were highlighted positively. Further, the practical examples and videos on independent learning also received high praise.

Many of the participating students - 32% on the first examination date and 66% on the second one - achieved an overall examination grade of 2.0 or better.

We look forward to welcoming new groups of students to the next OB course during the 2021/2022 winter semester.
