Good evaluation results for the “WI seminar” in the winter semester 2019/2020
We are happy to announce the excellent feedback we received for the “WI seminar” held in the 2019/2020 winter semester.
The majority of participating students were at the end of their Information Systems studies for either a Bachelor or a Master’s degree, as well as one Bachelor student from Teaching study.
The seminar covers typical tasks of scientific work including the search for literature, the identification of similar viewpoints and their critical evaluation. During the process students are individually supervised by coordinators. Further, they have to present their findings and submit their results in the form of a scientific seminar paper.
A small excerpt from the current topics that are being researched is: “Information systems management, strategy, and structure”; “Ethics and information systems’ sustainability“; “An Information Systems Perspective on Current Digitalization Challenges”.
The course evaluation showed that the students were very satisfied with the seminar (the evaluation scored 1,7 on a scale where 1.0 represents the best possible result).
Furthermore, ¾ of the participating students successfully completed the seminar and achieved an overall average grade of 2,3.
We look forward to welcoming new students to the next “WI seminar” during the 2020 summer semester.
